Many project managers struggle with effective status reporting – dealing with issues from finding the time to communicate about successes and challenges, tasks completed and delayed, risks and issues. After all of that struggle, most status reports are a series of lists and paragraphs of text that somebody then has to, first, wait for, then read, translate from your perspective on the project into his or her perspective on what needs to be done or communicated elsewhere, and finally, take action.
