The Technical Project Manager works under the direction of the Project Management Office (PMO) Manager to provide direct project and program management support to assigned projects/programs that are typically complex or global in nature. The Technical Project Manager initiates, plans, develops, executes and manages project/program timelines, conducts problem assessments, ensures efficient project/program implementation, reports on project/program performance in conjunction with project sponsors, and ensures an organized transition to operations. Expertise in the use and training of project management tools, facilitation, group processes and critical thinking is essential. The Technical Project Manager works to ensure maximum effectiveness of resources, quality, change, integration, cost, and scope management using effective communications techniques. The Technical Project Manager works across the organization through workgroups and cross-functional teams. The Technical Project Manager identifies opportunities for efficiency, effectiveness and process innovation while analyzing relevant project/program data and implementing process improvements.
Actively collaborates with IS partners
Utilize knowledge of systems to challenge assumptions and check thinking. Validates statements of obstacles around technical concerns. Escalates project barriers to Senior IS leadership with recommendations for addressing barriers. Develops run books for complex go live events.
