With eight certifications currently available, PMI offers a comprehensive certification program for project professionals at all stages of their careers. To aid our members in obtaining certification, the Willamette Valley Chapter offers local preparatory classes for PMI certifications several times per year. We schedule the time and location of courses throughout our chapter area to make it easy for our members to integrate certification preparation into their busy schedules. Our teaching environments are selected with learning and safety in mind. The chapter also works with government organizations, businesses, and universities to cosponsor selected certification programs.

Our instructors are PMI members and certified professionals with extensive real-world project management experience, as well as academic training credentials. The classroom materials are provided by Velociteach, a Registered Education Provider, and are based on the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide and the PMI Exam Content Outline.

Your PMI certification will include a way to keep your certification current and your knowledge relevant as the profession evolves through the Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) program. The program focuses your professional development on the employer-demanded skills of the PMI Talent Triangle — technical, leadership, and strategic and business management skills.

To assist you in maintaining your certification, the Willamette Valley Chapter provides local continuing education events, such as monthly Branch meetings and meetups, workshops, and our annual Project Management Conference.

Typically led by a distinguished speaker, a PMC often includes team exercises with hands-on exposure to ideas and techniques, where you also get to know other participants.

Our monthly Branch lunch or dinner meetings feature an educational program designed to help you expand your project management knowledge and maintain your PMI certification.
